Chad Tibayan

As a kid, Chad grew up all over moving from place to place due to his father being in the army.  It was not until 8th grade that his father finally retired and settled down in the Tacoma area. From there he learned many lessons from going to schools such as Baker Middle School and Foss High school.

In 2005, Chad earned his Associates Degree in Digital Design from Pierce College Ft. Steilacoom. College was where he found out what he was good at and what truly sparked his interest. Love for technology and the love of his family is what kept him pointed in the right direction.

After struggling to find his place Chad took a summer job at Giant Campus: Cybercamps, where he had his first chance at working with children and teaching them technology. When the summer was over he knew that working with kids was something worth doing and he wanted to continue doing it. By the fall of 2006, Chad accepted two jobs one as a site leader for the YMCA Ycare at Chloe Clark Elementary school, and the other as a part-time BOTT Lab Director at the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound, South Pierce County Branch.

Chad has worked hard at doing anything and everything to provide a great learning environment as well as being a caring adult for the children at the Boys & Girls Club. When the East Side BOTT Lab Director position opened up, he knew that it would be a good opportunity for him to grow and continue being a positive person in kids’ lives.
