Julia
Puckett
Julia grew up in the Air Force
and except for two years in Taiwan, spent her
childhood living on bases in the continental United
States. Her father retired from McChord AFB in 1971
and her parents decided to make Lakewood their home.
Julia graduated from Clover Park High School and
studied accounting and business administration at
Clover Part Technical and Pierce College. She has
lived and worked in the Tacoma area ever since.
Her accounting and management experience includes
almost 20 years in the for profit sector, working
for closely held family corporations. In 1991 she
accepted the position of Director of Finance for the
Boys & Girls Clubs of Tacoma & Pierce County and
fell in love with the organization. In her current
capacity as Chief Financial Officer she is able to
excel in her trade as this forward moving
organization provides an abundance of challenges and
opportunities for growth. More importantly the work
satisfies her need to serve the greater cause,
something he father instilled in her.
Julia and her husband live in Milton and have two
adult children and three grandchildren. Leisure time
includes spending time with family and friends.
Husband, Phil loves golf and salmon fishing, while
Julia spends time in her flower garden, reading and
working on needle crafts.
