SALARY/HOURS:
$12.00 to $14 per hour – Depending on Education and
Experience
(25 to 29 hours per week - split shift)
PRIMARY
FUNCTION:
The Site
Coordinator is responsible for planning and providing programs
and activities which stimulate emotional, social, physical, and
intellectual growth to children in a group setting. This is a
professional level position operating independently with a
minimum of supervision and requires independent decision making
and the use of discretion and good judgment relating to a
variety of routine and non-routine child situations and
circumstances. This position requires an in depth understanding
of the growth, development, and needs of children. Major
decisions are subject to review and approval of Child Care
Coordinator and Director.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job
Responsibilities):

Directs the
daily classroom events and program
·
Plans and
implements programs for ages 5-12 years in accordance with the
policies and philosophy of minimum licensing requirements.

Provides a
stimulating learning environment/classroom through an exciting
and inspiring decoration, curriculum and programs
·
Provides a
safe environment at the center and on field trips
·
Assumes
equal share of joint housekeeping responsibilities
·
Maintains a
safe and orderly playground
·
Establishes
a positive relationship with staff and parents
·
Reports all
suspected child abuse to Child Care Coordinator and appropriate
authorities
·
Maintains
accurate classroom records to include daily attendance,
inventory and recording of all accidents, injuries and illnesses
·
May be
required to transport children in company van
·
Other duties
as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
·
Early
Childhood Education Degree, EDA or Degree in related field
·
21 years of
age or older
·
Valid
Driver’s License and agency required vehicle liability limits
·
May be
required to drive agency vans to transport children
·
Have
school-age child development knowledge and experience
·
Have the
ability to implement the activity program
·
TB test
·
STARS
training
·
Must pass
National Background check
·
AIDS/HIV
training
·
CPR/FIRST
AID training
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK
ENVIRONMENT:
This
position regularly involves lifting, bending, stretching,
standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, reaching,
grasping, and seeing. This position works around youth and
adults with a moderate exposure to notice. This position mainly
works indoors but may include outdoor activities as well.
