Program Specialist Work Study Job Description
This individual is responsible for
delivering a broad range of programs at our South Pierce County
Branch and After School Learning Center, such as education,
health & safety, life skills, social recreation, technology,
arts & crafts and physical education. You will be a part of a
team that plans, develops, and implements activities in the
above core programs.
Additional responsibilities include working
with staff on special events, problem solving relating to
members utilizing our guidance and discipline plan, record
keeping, report documentation and maintaining relationships with
school personnel, community members and other organizations that
provide services to youth.
Skills needed include but are not limited
to a high school diploma or GED, strong verbal and written
communication skills, group leadership skills, organizational
skills and a minimum of one year work experience working with
youth planning and supervising activities based on their
developmental needs. CPR and First Aid Certifications strongly
preferred.
